PICHESH is a meticulously designed TV desk that transforms simplicity into elegance through the subtle twist of a rectangular oak wood profile. The desk features clean, modern lines, and a sculptural quality that brings an understated sophistication to any interior. The smooth torsion effect in the design is achieved through the careful turning of the rectangular wood structure, creating an interplay of form and function.

Measuring 40 cm in height and depth, and extending to a length of 124 cm, this piece provides ample space for a television and other media devices while offering a visually striking presence. The natural grain and warmth of oak wood lend a timeless quality to the design, grounding it in both traditional craftsmanship and contemporary aesthetics.

The piece’s signature feature—its simple twist—creates a dynamic, flowing effect as if the wood has been gently rotated into its final form. This movement draws the eye and adds a layer of functional artistry to the room, making PICHESH more than just a media unit; it is a statement piece that elevates the environment.

As part of AKAD LAB's design ethos, the focus was on blending modern technology with hand-finishing techniques. The main measurements were generated with a simple computational script, and by using some jigs, all the pieces were cut to create the initial profiles. Then each piece was hand-assembled and polished to maintain the warmth and organic nature of the wood.
