BENDSCAPE

Join us at the Angewandte Festival 2023, running from June 27 to 30, where all Angewandte locations will be open to the public, showcasing the work of our students from the past year.

At the Steingarten on Oskar Kokoschka Platz 2.0, we will be featuring BENDSCAPE, a project developed by students in the Machining Praxis in Architecture (MPA) course under the supervision of Afshin Koupaei. BENDSCAPE explores the potential of CNC-machined KERF bending techniques, utilizing custom tools to create large-scale architectural structures.

We invite you to experience the innovative work of our MPA students throughout the week, and don’t miss the closing party on Saturday—a collaborative event with ABSTRAKT magazine, curated and published by the students and alumni of the Institute of Architecture at the Angewandte Kunst in Vienna.
